How do you want to feel this holiday season?

It’s November…Thanksgiving will soon be here, and the beginning of the holidays! As we begin this season, filled with parties, social events and lots of food it can become harder to stay aligned with health and how you want to feel.

That’s it, right there. How do you want to feel?

The feeling that you can have in your body is so worth taking care of yourself during this time of year. It doesn’t have to be a time of year that sugar reigns and alcohol becomes a friend.

What can you do? How can you support yourself?

Thanksgiving can be a very healthy and nourishing meal. If you think about it, free range meat with bone broth gravy, green and root vegetables, some homemade rolls with grass fed butter is a meal that will help you to feel great in your body and will taste wonderful too! Here are some recipes that we’ll be trying this Thanksgiving if you’d like to check them out.

Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Roasted Root Vegetables

Bone Broth Gravy

Gluten Free Pumpkin Biscuits

Make the morning time on Thanksgiving day a time to move your body, and get your heart pumping. This will help you to feel strong throughout the day, relieve stress, quell your appetite and assist in balancing your blood sugar.

Don’t go to a party hungry. There’s nothing wrong with having something to eat at a social event. If you go well nourished, and have forethought about what you’re going to eat once you get there, you’re more likely to stick to a plan. You can even say to yourself, “I’m going to have a glass of wine and one dessert.” It’s good to have a plan in mind so you don’t get blindsided by temptation.

Rethink “treating ourselves.” Rethink “fun.” We have lots of stories of how food is fun, it makes things fun, we can’t have fun without it…maybe we can! There are lots of ways to enjoy ourselves at a party without it ‘necessarily’ being about food. Talk to friends, meet new people, have some sparkling water with lime. When you approach a party this way, you’ll feel great the next day to enjoy more of the holiday season.

It’s a fun time of year, it can also be a stressful time of year. My hope is that you feel good throughout. Support is key!

Support is one of the things that I find that my clients like the most. I’ve been formulating new programs and anchoring in more layers, so that deeper, more lasting change can happen in their life. My goal is that our work together will be a gateway to a new feeling about yourself, your life and what’s possible for you.

I have 2 spots left for 2018!

This is a wonderful chance to experience the 3 or 6 Week Program with the new layers integrated in at the current price. 2019 programs will have a brand new curriculum, price range, and lots of yummy things that I’ve learned and can’t wait to share with you.

Much Love and Abundant Health,
Shannon
